Bio
Yuan is currently a PhD. student in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at La Trobe University. Before she back to the university, she was a Senior Software Engineer at Envisage AR Limited in New Zealand. She ever worked as a Research Engineer in the HIT Lab Australia(HITLab AU) for more than 3 years. From 2010 to 2013, she worked at the Interactive and Digital Media Institute in National University of Singapore. Prior to going to Singapore, Yuan stayed in New Zealand since 2002. She received her BSc degree majoring in Computer Science from University of Canterbury, and completed her Master’s Degree at HIT Lab NZ. Her Master research aimed at developing a tool for mobile phones that enable people to author mobile AR applications on a PC and then run on a mobile phone.
Yuan’s research focuses on interaction design, computer vision, 2D and 3D computer graphics, visualisation display, virtual reality and augmented reality applications on mobile devices.
